SOLMINER | Dry Riesling 2020

In the Austrian tradition we make riesling "dry" so it is not sweet but refreshing bright and clean on the finish.  The combination of floral and fruit aromatics, stone fruit on the front palate and crisp citrus on the finish makes this one of our favorite wines!  If you know Riesling then you know and if you think it's just a sweet wine, give this one a try!

Our go to source for organic Riesling, Coquelicot Vineyard is low lying in the Santa Ynez River bed. There's always lots of morning fog ripening the fruit slowly and allowing the grapes to retain acidity.

The 2020 harvest included a heat spike between our first and second pick creating a slightly riper fruit profile.  Orange blossom, and peach jumps out of the glass but is balanced by refreshing grapefruit acidity on the finish.  This wine is the perfect match for that Thanksgiving turkey, sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce.
